It’s more than a month when the Gionee Gpad G3 was listed on Indian e-retailing portals, and now the company has finally announced its launch in the country via a press release, that states that the phone is now available in India for Rs 9999/-. The color variants on the GPad G3 includes Black and White. It supports dual SIM (GSM+GSM) facility with dual standby.
The Gionee tablet sports a 5.5-inch FWGA display with capacitive touch (resolution of 854×480 pixels). It is driven by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6589 processor along with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. It packs 1GB of RAM and offers 4GB of inbuilt memory space that can be stretched up to 32GB with a microSD card. It runs on Android v4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) OS. The GPad G3 is powered by a 2,250mAh battery. It supports FM Radio too. Gionee’s new slate has two cameras. The Primary camera fixed on the rear side has a 5-megapixel resolution with flash assistance while the secondary front facing camera is a VGA snapper (0.3-megapixel). Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, USB and GPS among others.
