WhatsApp To Feature Voice Calling Soon On Android and iOS

WhatsApp Messenger, which allows users to chat and share multimedia, will now soon introduce the much awaited voice calling feature. In January, Jan Kuom, CEO of WhatsApp, promised to bring this feature by the second quarter of this year.

Today, a screenshot was leaked, which shows a dedicated page for language translation, and had revealed some commands like – Incoming Calls, Outgoing Calls, and Hang Up ready for translation in several languages. A new translation request for the volunteers, who translate the app’s interface in Hindi, shows a new dialogue and notification which require a Hindi translation.

Though it’s not thrilling news for telecom companies, but it will surely bring joy to its 465 million users worldwide. WhatsApp, which had a massive 19$ Billion takeover by Facebook this year, gained much more popularity since then, also have widest cross-platform base out of all its contenders in the league. The new feature will hit the Android and iOS platforms first, and there is no word for the release on other platforms yet. Let’s hope to get the good news sooner than expected.
