And quite a few would even be debating over this rather unusual day of release (8th August being a Wednesday), so here’s the reason for the same- Ek Tha Tiger is releasing on the 15th of August (again a Wednesday). If by chance GoW2 made an appearance on Friday, it will get all but 5 days of an opening week, instead of seven. So the 8th August release was a smart move indeed. Also, the Ek Tha Tiger release date set at August 15th was an even smarter move, as being a national holiday it will pull in more crowds than usual, and also it gets a huge 9-day opening week till Tuesday, the 21st of August.
The release date of the 2nd part of the movie GoW was announced quite recently. With the bomb of an opening that the first movie enjoyed, seems like the second movie is set to blast even more loudly. While the first part narrated the story of Sardar Khan and Ramadir Singh (real life Shafi Khan and Surya Dev Singh), the second part will be focussing over the story of Sardar’s son Faisal Khan (real life Faheem Khan- who’s still alive and is presently serving sentence in Dhanbad Jail.)
