HTC has introduced new additions to its famed Desire range of smartphones. The Desire 501, Desire 601 and Desire 700- all dual SIM (GSM+GSM) devices have been floated in the Indian market. HTC Desire 501 (dual SIM) has been priced Rs.16,890. HTC Desire 601 (dual SIM) has a price tag of Rs.24,190 while the HTC Desire 700 (dual SIM) has been launched at Rs. 33,050/-. Also the phones have gotten immensely colorful. Instead of the usual skin the new HTC Desire 501 wears bright colorful patterns.
HTC Desire 501 is powered by a 1.15GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of inbuilt memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. It holds a 4.3-inch WVGA display and has two cameras. The primary camera is an 8MP snapper on the rear side. The secondary is a 2.1MP camera on the front that clicks selfies and assists in video chats. The device runs on Android 4.1 with HTC’s Sense UI on the top but no BlinkFeed. A 2100 mAh battery powers the Desire 501. Connectivity options include NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, micro USB among others.
HTC Desire 601 is driven by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor also coupled with 1GB RAM. There’s 4GB of onboard storage capacity externally expandable up to 64GB. The device will feature an unconfirmed version of the Android (either 4.2 or 4.3) with Sense UI and BlinkFeed. It holds a 4.5-inch qHD display. It comes equipped with a 5MP rear camera and a VGA camera on the front. Battery is 2100 mAh and connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS. The device also carries the trademark frontal stereo speakers with HTC BoomSound.
Finally the HTC Desire 700 that holds a 5-inch qHD display is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. This one also comes packed with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage capacity externally expandable up to 64GB. The Primary snapper is a 8MP camera with the ability to auto focus while the front camera has a resolution of 2.1MP. Runs on Android 4.1 with Sense 5.0 mounted on top and accompanied by BlinkFeed. A 2100mAh battery provides it with the much needed juice. Connectivity options include the regulars like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DLNA, GPS.
