Popular e-commerce portal Flipkart is offering Google’s Nexus 7 (2012) tablet at Rs.9,999. Thanks to the Online shopping mart, the 16GB variant of the Google tab can be owned at Rs. 9,999 while the 32GB variant at Rs.13,499. The slash in price follows the reduction in price of the smartphone Nexus 4 by 25 per cent to $199 announced last month. According to pundits, this could also mean that the next generation Nexus 7 tablet unveiled in July will be released soon in India. As of yet the Nexus 7 2013 is available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, UK and US.
This first gen Nexus 7 tab sports a 7-inch HD IPS display (1280×800 pixels resolution) with 216ppi pixel density and has a highly responsive touch. The display is equipped with backlight and is protected with scratch-resistant Corning Glass. It is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, packs 1GB of RAM and it runs on Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. The tablet shows absolutely no signs of lag.
