Google Nexus 5 On Play Store: 16GB Priced At Rs.28,999, 32GB At Rs.32,999

Finally it’s here! Google has floated the Nexus 5 in India.  The smartphone is now available on Play Store where the price for 16GB variant is Rs.28,999 while that of the 32GB variant is Rs.32,999. Google assures dispatching the phone from the warehouse within two days. There are also bumper cases in as many as four colours for Nexus 5 priced Rs.2,499. This Google phone much slimmer than the previous Nexus phones and weighs just 130 gms.

Google’s Nexus 5 is powered by a 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with Adreno 330 GPU (450MHz clock speed) and 2GB of RAM. As mentioned, variants have internal storage capacity as the basis- 16GB and 32GB. No, there is no scope for expansion. This is the first smartphone to feature the latest Android v4.4 (KitKat) OS. The Nexus 5 feeds on a 2,300 mAh battery that can be charged wirelessly. It offers up to 300 hours of standby time and 17 hours of talk time.

The Smartphone holds a 4.95-inch full HD IPS display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution and 445ppi pixel density and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It comes equipped with an 8-megapixel camera on the rear side with Optical Image Stabilization (OSI). The camera on the front is a 1.3-megapixel snapper. The HDR+ mode clicks a burst of images and combines all of these to produce the best shot. List of connectivity options includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC (Android Beam). Colours to choose from are black and white.
