Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ is now available in India. Priced at Rs. 16999 the smartphone will be offered starting June 3. Also it’s listed on online shopping mart Flipkart only. The device brings along Alcatel’s very own wearable ‘Boomband’ and JBL headphones.
Alcatel’s latest offering to India is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek MT6592 Octa-Core processor along with 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of inbuilt storage space to store all your apps and data. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS among others.
Idol X+ holds a 5-inch display that has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 441ppi pixel density. The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2. The device is equipped with twin cameras. The primary one is a 13.1MP shooter fixed on the rear side with the ability to autofocus and supported by LED flash. The secondary camera is 2MP on the front for selfies and video calls. The Alcatel phone survives on a 2500mAh battery that sustains 27 hours of talk time and offers 650 hours of standby time on 2G.
Following in the steps of Motorola granting exclusivity, Idol X+ will be offered by Flipkart only. The smartphone was first showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show 2014 held in Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this year.
