Samsung Galaxy J2 – An Affordable 4G-Enabled phone Launched In India

The battle of affordable phones is on full swing. Samsung Mobiles though late to the game have been trying to cope with its latest releases under Galaxy J series and it just got a new member; Galaxy J2, which was officially launched in Bangalore today. The phone comes with a “Made in India” tag as well.

The Galaxy J is a dual-SIM phone, which come with  a 4.7-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, a entry-level quad-core Exynos 3475 chip, which is clocked at 1.3 GHz CPU and 1GB of RAM .  A 5MP on the rear and 2MP on the front completes the camera setup. A 2,000 mAh battery has been provided for the needs. The phone come installed with Android 5.1 for rich Android experiance. It implements a unique feature pre-installed called Ultra Data Saving Mode offered by Opera Max , which helps reduce up to 50% on your data plan, free up to 11% of the RAM and an extension of  phone’s standby time up to two times.samsung_galaxy_j2_opera_max

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Asim Warsi, Vice President, Marketing, IT & Mobile at Samsung India said that,

Samsung Galaxy J2, our entry level smart phone, has been specially made keeping in mind the Indian consumer’s sensibilities to make 4G accessible and relevant for all. The Galaxy J2 reinforces our commitment to ‘Make for India’. Ultra Data Saving Mode, which is the key feature in the device, has been developed at our Indian R&D facilities to deliver the most cost efficient 4G device.

Coming to pricing and availability, the new Galaxy J2 will be made available starting from September 21 and is priced at 8,490 INR with  Gold, White and Black color options.
