Produced and Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is a biopic based on the life of athlete Milkha Singh, also known as ‘The Flying Sikh’. It is believed that Milkha Singh gave away his story for just a rupee. The movie owes its title to the last words spoken by Milkha’s father, when he wanted his son to run and save himself from the ongoing riots during the Partition of India, where he lost many a family members. The movie showcases his persistence as an athlete, and also preaches for the strength of the human spirit. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s music sounds appealing.
