Researchers at Karolinska Institute in Sweden conducted research on mice and opined that exercise brings about important transformations in the emaciated muscles(skeletal muscles)  that clears toxic elements gathered during anxiety or stress.

When a person exercises, the level of a protein called PGC 1|1 augments in the emaciated muscles which helps to facilitate muscle conditioning.

The research was conducted on two types of mice, one was genetically modified with high level of PGC 1|1 protein and another was a normal mice. Both of them were kept in stressful conditions such as very loud noise, sleep disruption etc for five weeks. The genetically modified mice had no indications of any kind of stress or depression whereas the normal mice showed signs of depression, this was because an enzyme was produced that clears toxic substances produced in our body.

Exercise is not only good to overcome depression but also for various ailments  like diabetes, heart problems etc and can improve people’s mood.
