1975- The then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declares a state of Emergency in India.

1982- First Boeing 707 of Air India ‘Gaurishankar’ crashes at Sahar airport (Bombay).

1991- Sharad Pawar enrolls at Union Cabinet as Defence Minister.

1997- India announces its chemical weapon collection and storage provision as part of its commitment as agreed to the Chemical Weapons Convention.
