Korean mobile giant Samsung launched yet another budget smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Star Pro with a price tag of Rs.6.989 attached. The smartphone joins the ‘Galaxy’ club of devices succeeding the Samsung Galaxy Star released in May this year. Earlier in September, the company had floated ‘Galaxy Trend’ dual SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone now available on e-commerce websites Flipkart and Snapdeal for Rs.8,490.
The Samsung Galaxy Star Pro has been listed on popular online shopping mart Homeshop18.
Galaxy Star Pro is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A5 single-core processor with 512MB RAM. The smartphone offers 4GB of internal storage that can be stretched up to 32GB via a microSD card. It runs on Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean). This Samsung device holds a 4-inch WVGA screen (480×800 pixels resolution). It comes equipped with just one camera. The 2-megapixel camera is fitted on the rear side and can also capture videos. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, EDGE and microUSB. 3G connectivity is absent. The smartphone is fueled by a 1,500 mAh battery that sustains 15 hours of talk time with up to 370 hours of standby time.
