The Xperia ZR is powered by Qualcomm’s 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro Quad Core processor and runs on Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes packed with 2GB of RAM and offers 8GB of in-built memory that could be extended up to 32 GB courtesy a microSD card.
It sports a 4.6-inch TFT display with a 1280×720 pixel resolution as Sony’s BRAVIA Engine 2 provides better viewing experience. However, the surprise in the box is the devices’s ability to shoot full HD videos underwater. The Exmor RS camera of 13-Megapixel will help capture moments underwater and turn them into memories. The phone is also equipped with a secondary VGA camera.
A 2,300 mAh Li-Ion battery fuels this device. It can sustain 11 hours of 2G and 13 hours of 3G talk time and standby time of 470 hours on 2G and 520 hours on 3G. Connectivity options enlisted include 3G, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n) and WiFi direct, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, NFC etc.
This one is another of Sony’s dust and water-resistant smartphones.
