NFDC Film Bazaar 2013 Begins November 20th In Goa – ‘Film Bazaar Recommends’ Listed

National Film Development Corporation’s (NFDC’s) promotional segment ‘Film Bazaar’-South Asia’s Global Film Market, shall commence 20-24 November and shall be held at Marriott Resort Goa. It is the seventh edition of the Film Bazaar this year, and the market shall feature a brilliant mix of influential people like Christian Jeune, Marco Mueller, Thierry Fremaux, Derek Malcolm, Chris Paton, Jacobine Van Der Vloed, Remi Burah, Charles Tesson, Frederic Boyer and Anne Delseth among others. The event shall be held alongside IFFI (International Film Festival of India: 20 – 30 Nov)

Film Bazaar 2013 marks the launch of a new program called Producer’s Lab, that shall offer training and networking opportunities to budding film producers from India, and shall comprise Workshop Sessions, Case Studies and One-on-One meetings spanned over three days. The sessions shall be conducted by bigwigs from the domestic as well as international film industry.

The Screenwriters’ Lab carried its first segment of mentored workshop at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) and shall conclude its second segment at Film Bazaar. It includes six independent screenwriters this year. Co-production Market finalists include an awesome line-up of nations- Afghanistan, UK, Canada, Switzerland, Poland, Luthuania; and the projects include Govind Nihalani’s A Holy Fire, Shyam Benegal’s Roads To Freedom, Umesh Kulkarni’s Highway, Anup Singh’s A Scorpion’s Song among others.
