Intex announced Tuesday the launch of a super-cheap Android smartphone in India, which is yet another addition in the company’s Aqua series. The new Intex Aqua T2, priced at a very affordable Rs 2,699, shall lock horns with the recently launched Firefox OS smartphones. The company’s retailing the smartphone exclusively at Flipkart.
Moving over to the features and specs, Intex Aqua T2 has a 3.5-inch HVGA IPS display with 320 x 480 pixel resolution, 256MB RAM, dual-SIM support (GSM+GSM), 512MB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD. Equipped within is a 1100mAh battery and a 1.3GHz MediaTek dual-core processor. For camera needs, the phone features a 2MP rear-cam and a 0.3 megapixel VGA front cam. For connectivity the phone support Bluetooth, 2G and WiFi. Additional features include Micro USB (5-pin), Pre-loaded Games, Email Accounts Support, Auto Call Record, Bluetooth Tethering and Portable Hotspot.
For the specified price, the tech specs are very generous, but the low storage and RAM could really kill the smartphone experience. But still, we expect the Indian smartphone manufacturer to deliver even with these constraints, and hopefully their next offering in the same price bracket shall have better RAM and memory.
