Huawei Floats Ascend Mate In India At Rs.24,900/-

After it first made an appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show(CES) 2013 in Las Vegas, Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei has finally floated the Ascend Mate in India. The mega screen device is now available at Rs.24,900. The phablet was previously spotted on online shopping portal flipkart.com with a price tag of Rs.28,900. The Listing was removed subsequently.

The Phablet is powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad-Core Hi-Silicon K3V2 processor and comes packed with 2GB of RAM. It runs on Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has 8GB of in-built memory to offer and externally it can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card.

The Ascend Mate is a dual camera device with an 8-Megapixel AF primary camera with HDR and a 1-Megapixel HD secondary camera on the front for video calling. It sports a massive but super-sensitive 6.1-inch HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla glass and a resolution of 1280×720. The screen has a special ‘Magic Touch’ feature which allows it respond to even the lightest pressure. The phablet is fueled by a 4,050 mAh battery that can sustain 48 hours of normal use, 28 hours of 3G talking and 10.5 hours of 3G internet. Connectivity options enlisted include 3G, 2G, WiFi, Bluetooth v4.0 etc. The Ascend Mate is available in two colours- Crystal Black and Pure White.
