YRF’s Dhoom 3 starring Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra has raked in a lot of moolah at the boc office- a whopping Rs 300 crores (worldwide) in 9 days. If this money-raking streak continues, Dhoom 3 shall be the highest grossing film in the domestic circuit, surging way ahead of Chennai Express and 3 Idiots. In India alone, the action thriller film has managed to rake in Rs 211 crore. This high sum doesn’t come as a surprise though, given that almost al ticket prices were hiked substantially to boost the numbers.

Trade analyst and Bollywood movie reviewer Taran Adarsh tweeted- “Here’s *Week 1* total of #Dhoom3: India Rs 188.98 crore + Overseas Rs 105.28 crore [$ 17.02 million]. Worldwide total.”

Dhoom 3 was filmed on a budget of Rs 100 crore and the film released on December 20th in three different languages- Hindi, Tamil, Telugu- spanning over 4000 screens in India and abroad collectively.
