Canon Launches Two New DSLRs – EOS Rebel SL1 & EOS Rebel T5i

Expanding its line-up of Rebel Line series, professional camera maker, Canon launched two new flagship DSLRs. One being Canon EOS Rebel SL1, claimed to be the World’s smallest and lightest DSLR, while other being Canon EOS Rebel T5i DSLR with 18 megapixel sensor.

Canon EOS Rebel SL1 –

Claimed to be world’s smallest and lightest DSLR, Canon EOS Rebel SL1 measures 4.6” (w) x 3.57” (h) x 2.74” (b) and weighs only 407 grams. Featuring 18.0 megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor and DIGIC 5 image with an ISO range of 100-12800 (expandable to H: 25600) for photos and ISO-6400 (expandable to H: 12800) for videos, the camera boasts a new nine point centre cross-type autofocus (AF). The new Hybrid sensor provides a wider focus area when shooting photos or video in Live View mode, and a continuous AF speed that is increased from previous EOS models.

As promised by company, EOS Rebel SL1 will represent a new era in DSLR versatility. Being ultra-portable, this point and shoot camera features high speed and high image quality, making it best suitable for entry level shooters.

Canon EOS Rebel T5i –

The new flagship model in Canon EOS Rebel series, EOS Rebel T5i comes with an 18-megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor and a DIGIC 5 Image Processor with ISO range of 100-12800 (expandable to 25600 in H mode) and a continuous shooting speed of up to 5.0 frames per second (fps), equipped with nine point cross-type AF focus. It features a touch controlled 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor, and seven creative filters: ArtBold, Water Painting, Grainy Black and White, Soft Focus, Toy Camera, Fish-Eye and Miniature.
