BSNL in collaboration with Pantel Technologies has launched four new devices in the Indian market- PentaSmart PS501, PentaSmart PS650, PentaBharat Phone and Penta T-Pad WS707C- under its Bharat Phone range. The PS501 phone could be already availed in India via online retail stores and other outlets for Rs 6,999/-, while the Penta PS650 could be availed soon for a price of Rs 7,999.
Penta Smart PS501 has a 5-inch WVGA display, and derives power off a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 4GB internal storage. Running Android 4.2.2, the phone has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front camera. A 1800 mAh battery suffices its power needs. It supports 2G and also has a microSD slot.
Penta Smart PS650 has a 6.5-inch IPS display, and derives power off a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The phone features a 2 megapixel rear camera with HDR recording, image stabilizer, auto focus and image sensor and a VGA front camera for voice calling. It operates Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Equipped under its hood is a 2,500mAh battery, and the connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/AGPS.
PentaBharat Phone is a dual-SIM Java-enabled phone featuring a 3-inch display, and features 64MB RAM, 1.3MP rear camera, 64MB internal storage with microSD card slot. Connectivity options include Bluetooth. Like Penta Smart PS501, this too has a 1800mAh battery in its hood.
PentaT-Pad WS707C features a 7-inch screen, and sucks power off 1.2GHz A7 dual-core chipset with 512 MB RAM and 4GB Internal Storage. The device runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and hosts many pre-loaded applications. It is priced at Rs 6,999/-.
Also, BSNL is offering 3GB of 3G data and about 300 minutes of talk-time free on purchase of any of the above listed device.
