Luxury car manufacturer Audi’s RS 5 Coupe is all geared up to set the asphalt ablaze in India. The two-door sports car was launched on Tuesday in Mumbai. The car comes with a price tag of Rs.95.28 (ex-showroom Mumbai). However, with rupee faltering, Audi will hike prices to maintain its margins.
“We will increase prices by 2-3 percent. We have no option but to pass on some costs to customers. The price hike may take place between July and August,” informed Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.
The RS 5 Coupe is powered by a 4.2-litre V8 FSI Engine that uses FSI direct petrol injection technology and generates maximum power of 450 bhp at 8250 rpm. It reaches a maximum torque of 430 Nm between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. The Car can zoom to 100kmph in 4.6 seconds and touch the 200kmph mark with ease in another 10.9 seconds. Top Speed is 250kmph.
The Coupe comes with a 7-speed S tronic with dual-clutch transmission offering quick gear change along with fuel efficiency. Customers can also choose to enhance their Audi with the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system and to its agility.
Exteriors as well as interiors, it’s the Classic Audi. Cast aluminium wheels, Xenon plus headlights coupled with LED lights for daytime, electronically folding mirrors with matt aluminium finish. With regards to Indian roads the car has enough ground clearance. Audi also has eight colour options to offer for the RS 5 Coupe.
The Upholstery has been done in Silk Nappa leather offered with a choice of colours. S Sport front seats give the sports car feel with memory function to remember driver’s adjustment. Rear seats can be folded. It comes equipped with three-zone automatic air conditioning system. Audi’s music interface and sound system, 7-inch display, Bluetooth are other features.
