On the occasion of the launch Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India said-
“Audi is the market leader in the sports car and high performance car segment with the Audi R8, Audi R8 Spyder, Audi S4 and Audi TT Coupé. We are now happy to add the Audi S6 to our portfolio after the launch of the new Audi RS 5 Coupé earlier this month. With these launches, I am confident of consolidating our leadership position even further”
The S6 is powered by a high performance 4-litre V8 Turbocharged FSI engine that generates 420 bhp at 5500 rpm and maximum torque of 550 Nm at 1400 rpm. It has Seven-speed Audi S tronic® dual-clutch transmission with Audi’s Quattro® all-wheel drive. The Sedan can zoom to 100 kph from rest in 4.5 seconds and touch a top speed of 250 kph.
A Unique feature of this car is its ‘Cylinder-On-Demand’ (COD) technology which automatically shuts down four of the eight cylinders when not required. This not only helps lower emission but also helps improves fuel efficiency.
The Sedan comes with a smart parking system, four zone auto climate control, sports seats with Valcona leather finish, driver seat memory, Audi MMI Navigation plus with voice control system, Audi MMI touch with handwriting-recognition technology etc.
The S6 is now available at all Audi dealerships in India. With back to back launches, Audi hopes that India will become one of its top global markets by next fiscal.
