Asus today introduced Fonepad 7, the new member in its Asus Fonepad family. It’s a phablet which remained unchanged with few functions as it is plucked from its precursor models, but added Dual Sim functionality with a faster CPU in it. It’s a low budget device which will cost only Rs. 12999/-, and shall be available in Grey and White color options.


Asus Fonepad 7 is a 7-inch HD phablet which features a 1280×800 HD IPS display with a wide 178-degree viewing angle. The device supports 3G calling and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Operating System which is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Atom-Z2520 dual core processor with 1 Gb of RAM. It also features a 5 Mp rear camera and a 1.2 Mp front facing camera especially for video calling.

For storage, Fonepad 7 will come with an internal memory of 8 Gb however, company is providing 16 Gb of free cloud storage as an extended storage option. For connectivity, the device features a WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, EDGE, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Micro-USB and 3G (HSPA+). The phone gets its juice from 3910 mAh battery which will make phone last up to 10 hours of fair usage.
