“Will they last long??
Friendship and happy things..
We all move up
go our separate ways..
Enjoy life,it’s changes and shifts,
Remember they are world’s special gifts”
A cheerful guy meets a silent girl, they befriend, bond, discover, learn, enjoy and split, only to meet again as a couple. One word for Yeh Deewani hai Jawaani – Ultimate’. Set against several breath-taking places, this movie is just so full of life.
The story traces the journey of two individuals, Bunny ( Ranbir Kapoor) and Naina ( Deepika Padukone) who are poles apart. On one hand, Bunny is a zesty, feisty and a free-spirited guy who wants to wander around the world, while on the other hand Naina is a typical ‘Seedhi-Saadhi padhaku’ girl who removes her self-imposed ban of being in discipline by going on a vacation. This medical student breaks free and encounters Bunny and his besties Aditi (Kalki Koechlin) and Avi (Aditya Roy Kapur). Aditi is an exuberant, full of life gal who loves to love life and Avi is an endearing drifter who spends most of his bucks on cricket bets. They meet, bond, enjoy and wander like butterflies and become best of friends but have to go their separate ways. they split, but do not forget each other. The wise men who said that life comes in a full circle were proved correct once again when Bunny and Naina were standing at their life’s crosswords and meet again at a wedding. They understand the true meaning of life and their friendship blooms into something exquisite called love. They discover themselves again and bask in glee.
Ranbir as Bunny is fantastic and makes the audience go gaga over him with his performance as a cheerful guy and Dippy is endearing as usual. The stern look and simplicity suits her well. Both share an amazing chemistry throughout the film. Kalki is very sweet as a chirpy lass and Avi is a perfect best-friend and entertains with his act . The film also has his brother Kunal Roy Kapur in a cameo. The cinematography is beautiful and the places shown are a true delight. They add to the wonder and beauty of the film. the music is to die for with Badtameez Dil and Balam Pichkari being the peppiest numbers. Kudos to all the stars for their dancing skills and making the film, bright and lively. A perfect movie to unwind yourselves and celebrate life. Thumbs up!
