LeEco today officially launched their second generation LeEco devices in the Indian market, which were unveiled earlier this year at an event in Beijing. The Le 2 and the Le Max 2 are the successor to Le 1S and Le Max models which were announced earlier this year.
The Le 2 comes full metal body, a 5.5-inch FHD display and a finger print scanner. Coming to SoC this device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 unlike the Chinese variant and is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB on-board storage. On imaging front Le 2 comes with a 16-megapixel camera on the back and 8-megapixel on the front. The audio-out on Le 2 is possible only through the USB Type-C connector and it uses LeEco’s Continual Digital Lossless Audio technology. The Le 2 runs Android Marshmallow OS based EUI custom ROM and has a 3000mAh battery which promises a better juice.
Coming to Le Max 2, this device has a 5.7-inch QHD screen, a powerful Snapdragon 820 SoC, option of 4GB RAM with 32GB storage or 6GB RAM with 64GB storage. A 21 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front shooter completes your camera needs. The phone also sports world’s first ultrasonic fingerprint sensor using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sense ID. Even this device runs Android Marshmallow OS based EUI custom ROM and comes with USB Type-C with CDLA. A decent 3100mAh battery has been provided for the needs. Both the phones support fast charging. Also, both the phones come free of 3.5mm audio jacks, and users who want to plug in their headphones may plug it into the unique USB Type-C audio connector – the same port that you use for charging and data syncing shall be now used to connect your headphones.
The Le 2 is priced at INR 11,999 and the Le Max 2 is priced at INR 22,999 for the 4GB/32GB variant and INR 29,999 for the 6GB/64GB variant inclusive of a year of LeEco content. The phones will be available at LeMall.com (company’s own e-commerce site) and also on Flipkart. The registration begins on June 20th while the sale is on sale on 28 June.
