India’s very first Grand Master, Vishwanathan Anand, now has a planet named after him called as ‘4538 VishyAnand.’ It is a minor planet among 650000 such astral bodies is space and was Kenzo Suzuki of Japan in Toyota Observatory in 1988 but was unnamed until now. US-based National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) confirmed the news by putting it up on their official website on April 1st. And yes, it wasn’t an April fool’s joke.
It all started when Mr Michael Rudenko, a committee member of Minor Planet Center, was invited to name this planet. Mr Rudenko, being Chess enthusiast, named it after the five-time world chess champion.
The minor planet is situated somewhere between Mars and Jupiter.
