Watch : “2 States” Official Theatrical Trailer Starring Arjun Kapoor And Alia Bhatt

The trailer of 2 States starring Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor has released. A screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s semi-autobiographical book by the same name, the film features Arjun as the North Indian Krish Malhotra, while Alia Bhatt is the South Indian Ananya Swaminathan. The story is about how these two people fall in love and how their respective families oppose there union owing to their several cultural clashes. Amrita Singh and Ronit Roy essay the role of Arjun’s parents while Revathy and Shiv Kumar Subramaniam play Alia’s parents.

From the trailer, it’s quite clear that most of the dialogues are picked up as it is from the book. Whether or not they retain the same entertaining quality – only time will tell. The film is helmed by debutant director Abhishek Verman, while it’s co-produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala. 2 States is slated for an April 18 release.
