In the recent years, Dharma Productions has diversified itself into a multiple movie generating production house, unlike the times when Karan Johar was the only one directing films under its banner. Now K.Jo has roped in multiple directors under him who are churning out decent flicks in modest amount of time. Ye Jawani Hai Deewani, Agneepath, Kurbaan, Hasee toh Phasee are some of the ones to name. Though all these movies are diverse products but there is an underlying connect to youth in all the movies. KJo is a talented director and a crafty producer too, he knows the pulse of the youth and churns out flicks which are bound to mint money and entertain. That’s a delicate balance which is very difficult to maintain.
The most recent movie out of the Dharma production is Ungli, directed by Rensil D’Silva, who has previously directed Kurbaan, 24 (India, pilot episode) and has penned numerous movies for Dharma. The first poster of ‘Ungli’ was released few days ago followed by a slick motion poster. The movie appears to be vigilante drama about a gang of youngsters who pledge to clean the corrupt system by taking justice in their hands rather in their ‘Ungli’. The movie has a competent cast of able actors and the trailer which was released a few moments ago was racy, edgy and funny.
The film stars Kangana Ranaut ,Emraan Hashmi,Randeep Hooda, Neil Bhoopalam, Angad Bedi and Sanjay Dutt in significant roles and will release on 28th November.
