Chennai based motor company TVS is all set to make public its strategic partnership with BMW Motorrad. With TVS planning to re-enter the market with more vehicles, especially with the high end bikes (beyond 180CC segment), it will be a win-win situation for both the companies as BMW will get access to local production and thereby cheaper manufacturing costs, whereas TVS gets to acquire indigenous technology from BMW.
It’s not the first time for TVS to have joined hands with a Global brand. Nearly a decade ago, TVS had a partnership with Suzuki, resulting in the birth of the Fiero 150CC bike. Now with rumors of a TVS 200CC bike floating since an year, it is eagerly anticipated that the bike will be unveiled at 2014 Indian Auto Expo.
