1757 – Siraj Ud Daulah was executed by Muhammad Baig as per directions from Miran, son of Mir Jafar.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Statue in Shyambazar Five Point Crossing -Kolkata

1940 – Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was detained and arrested in Kolkata (former ‘Calcutta’).

1972 – India and Pakistan inked The Simla agreement. It was a result of the war fought in 1971.
