‘Star Wars: Rogue One’ Teaser Trailer Is Out!

Gareth Edwards (Director, Godzilla) gives us the first look at Star Wars: Rogue One. The first in the series of standalone movies set in the Star Wars Universe written by Gary Whitta and Chris Weitzfrom and based from an idea by visual effects supervisor John Knoll.

Remember what the scroll in New Hope’s Scroll read?

“It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire.”

Rogue One will tell the story of how that first victory was won.

We have a very brief look at a previously unseen type of Stormtrooper, with a very Vader inspired design. Jury is still out on whether this is an enhanced Shadowtrooper or an actual Deathtrooper. There are rumors that we’ll see Darth Vader unleash his Sith fury on the Rebels and show us why Lord Vader is feared. I, for one, cannot wait for it. With an all star cast starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen and Alan Tudyk. Rogue One will be released on December 16, 2016.

Stay tuned for the full-length trailer, which should be released later tonight. Follow this space for more updates on Star Wars: Rogue One.
