Samsung Galaxy S5 is all set for its India launch scheduled today. This Samsung Galaxy device was introduced at the MWC 2014 held in Barcelona last month. It is speculated that the smartphone may bear a price tag of Rs.51,500. Pre-booking starts on March 28 while delivery commences on April 11.
The Galaxy S5 is powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad-Core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It will be available in two variants with regards to internal storage space- 16GB and 32GB. Memory can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android’s KitKat 4.4.2 OS with TouchWiz UI mounted on the top.
Samsung’s new Galaxy phone holds a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It sports a 16MP camera with HDR mode, fixed on the rear side. The camera on the front side is a 2.1MP snapper. Connectivity options include 4G, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 and NFC among others. The device is energized by a 2800mAh battery.
The S5 has features like fingerprint scanner mated to the homescreen button and a heart rate monitor. The smartphone is resistant to dust as well as water.
