Going down the opulent Greek history is this story that continues showing the adventures of Percy Jackson(Logan Lerman) and his friends. The movie is based on the novel of Rick Riordan of same name. This movie, being the sequel to Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, traces the journey of Percy and his buddies who are in a fix as their half blood camp is attacked by Luke Castellon (Jake Abel) who poisons the sacred tree protecting it. In camp, Percy meets his half brother Luke( Douglas Smith) and then starts their journey to find Golden fleece, a magical element that can only cure the tree and restore its glory. However, he has to go to Titular sea of monsters and fight his way to get his mission completed. Hell breaks lose when all their strength goes into finding that herb. Adding to their misery is Luke’s threats to destroy Mount Olympus. Comes in the way is La Rue, Percy’s foe and daughter of Ares.

The cinematography is great but the monsters are not so scary and fail to bring that appeal. Storyline is too clichéd and we get a feeling of “been there, seen that”. Neglecting all the shortcomings, it’s a decent watch if you are interested in Greek fictional/historical stuff. I’d recommend it a go.
