Chinese mobile major Oppo has floated yet another smartphone. Oppo R1S has been spotted on the company’s official website. Priced 2498 Yuan (Rs.24500 approx.) pre-orders for the device will be taken in China starting Friday. The India launch of the smartphone is expected to be soon.
Oppo’s latest offering is driven by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with Adreno 305 GPU. It packs 1GB of RAM and offers 16GB of internal storage space. Not much is known about external expansion of memory. The smartphone runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS with Oppo’s very own Color 1.2 ROM on top.
The R1S flaunts a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and 294ppi pixel density. The primary camera is a massive 13MP 6-element , f/2.0 aperture, 1/3″ Sony IMX214 sensor on the rear panel while the secondary camera on the front is a 5MP shooter. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4 and GPS. The Oppo device is fuelled by a 2140mAh battery.
