After Canvas Doodle went to town it’s now time for Doodle 2. Smarthphone giant Micromax is expected to launch the successor to Canvas Doodle soon. Teasers of Canvas Doodle 2 A240 were being spotted regularly but now the smartphone has been spotted on popular e-commerce websites. The Price tag attached, as seen on Snapdeal.com, reads Rs.19,990.

The Canvas Doodle 2 will be driven by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor. It will run on Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) and offers 12 GB of internal storage. It would be a dual-camera device with a 12-megapixel camera on the rear side with dual-LED flash assistance and a 5-megapixel camera on the front to facilitate video calling. The Smartphone would hold a 5.7-inch Capacitive touch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. A 2,600 mAh Li-Ion battery fuels this dual SIM device (GSM+GSM) that can survive 8 hours of talk time on 2G. Connectivity features include 3G, EDGE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth, A-GPS.

Micromax recently announced the ‘Do the Doodle!’ contest on its official facebook page. The Facebook post, dated August 22, urges fans to participate in the contest and draw a doodle. The best doodles stand a chance to win the Canvas Doodle 2 which is ‘coming soon’.
