Tata Motors owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has launched a home-built (Pune plant) Freelance 2 Model 2013 for price up to INR 43.92 lakhs. The Freelander 2 comes in two variants- a 2.2 litre diesel TD4 SE priced at INR 38.67 lakh and a 2.2 litre diesel SD4 HSE priced at Rs 43.92 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai, pre-octroi), as per the company statement.
The exteriors have been refurbished, giving the car an integrated look. The new features comprise a passive start, rear view camera, an ‘intelligent’ electric parking brake that adjusts the brake force depending on the slope of the road, an integrated navigational system and a Xenon headlamps having daytime running lights. On the interior front, the car offers a new central console, a 7-inch colour touch screen with improved audio systems.
