With this offering iBall extends its ‘Performance’ series of tablets that also includes 3G 7334Q-10, 3G 8072 and Q9703 among others. The new tab supports dual SIM (GSM+GSM) and has voice-calling ability.
iBall’s Slide 3G17 is powered by ARM Cortex A7 1.3GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It packs 4GB of inbuilt storage space which can be stretched up to 32GB via a microSD card. The tablet runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS and relies on a 2500mAh battery for all the juice it needs to survive.
The 3G17 sports a 7-inch WVGA multi-touch display. Cameras are two. The primary camera on the rear side is 2MP with LED flash. The secondary is a VGA camera on the front for video calls. Connectivity options include the usual- 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and micro USB.
iBall had also floated the Slide 3G 7271 HD7 earlier this year. The dual SIM device priced Rs.8999 has specifications similar to those of the 3G17. This slate is also driven by a 1.3GHz Cortex A7 dual-core processor and has 512MB RAM. Based on Android 4.2, it comes with a 3000mAh battery. It has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. The tablet is equipped with the same twin cameras.
