Chinese mobile manufacturer Gionee has launched its new offering named as Gionee CTRL V4S in the Indian market today. It’s a medium budget smartphone reading a price tag of Rs. 9999, expected to compete against Sony Xperia E3, Asus Zenfone 5, and Second generation Moto G which certainly had made their mark in the market.

Gionee CTRL V4S will be an Android based smartphone featuring a 4.5 inch touch screen IPS LCD display with 480 x 854 pixels FWVGA resolution, running on 4.4 (Kitkat) version of OS. For imaging, two cameras are fitted in the smartphone; one on the front is a 2 megapixel snapper and the other one on the back is of 8 megapixel capacity with an LED flash.

If we take a look at the technicalities, Gionee CTRL V4S is powered by a MediaTek chipset fitted with a 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 processor, Mali 400 GPU coupled with 1 gb of RAM. For storage, the smartphone includes 8 gb of storage space which can be expanded up to 32 Gb via a MicroSD card. The phone packs an 1800 mAh battery under its hood, which promises to deliver a talk-time of 10 hours while running on a 3G network.


For connectivity, the new offering has all the features one could expect. Starting from Dual Sim functionality, the smartphone also includes a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-Gps along with usb connectivity. There is a new feature called ‘Hotknot’ which enables users to share photos, videos instantly between two smartphones just by touching each other’s screens is a new concept by Gionee.

Gionee CTRL V4S will be the successor model to CTRL V4 with some new features including Slim Body and Light Weight. The smart will have two colour options viz. White and Black. Take a look at the technical specifications listed below –
