Italian auto giant ‘Fiat’ rolled the Punto Sport 2013 out of its stables to set the asphalt ablaze in India. The car was introduced at the Fiat Caffe in Bengaluru with a price tag of Rs.7,60,048 (ex-showroom Delhi). The car is same as its 2012 edition mechanically but with a facelift. Fiat also provides a range of accessories that infuse the feel of a sports car in this hatch.
The New Fiat hatchback is powered by a 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine that generates maximum power of 90HP at 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 209Nm at 2000 rpm. It comes with 5-speed manual transmission. The Punto Sport 2013 offers a mileage of 20.5kmpl.
Fiat offers a special ‘Accessories Kit’ that imparts the hatch that ‘Sports’ feel. It includes Sporty metallic pedals, Sporty chrome exhaust tail pipe, limited edition decals, aerodynamic rear spoiler, Punto badged door sil and floor mats. Bumpers take the colour of the car while door handles are chrome-plated. The car will be available in two colours- Exotica Red and Pearl White with the roof in black. The Punto with pearl white paint also gets a contrast coloured ORVM.
The car also comes equipped with ABS, Dual front airbags with early crash sensors, Immobilizer with Rolling Code, Fire Prevention System, Auto climate control, Speed sensitive volume adjuster for audio and Fiat’s Blue & Me technology among other features.
