One more Chinese manufacturer is entering India, this time a company called Elephone whose HQ is based in Shenzen is trying their luck in sub-continent. P8000 would be their first offering followed by P4000. The company has great presence in Mainland- China and most part of Europe.
The smartphone P8000 is backed by 5.5-inch 1080p screen. The functionality is delivered by Mediatek’s MT6753 chipset and 3 GB of RAM. P8000 comes with 16GB of internal storage, less impressive? a microSD slot would fill the gap supporting upto 128GB of storage.
A 13MP main camera, and a 5MP selfie shooter takes care of imaging hardware, and a fingerprint sensor on the back is an added advantage. The device runs on company brewed ELE-UI based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The main USP is the company is working on to port popular Custom ROM’s to the phone, a welcome move. The phone has a textured back and will come in Black, Golden, and White colors.
An Ample 4,165 mAh battery is equipped for more than a better usage of phone on single charge which promises to offer 21 Hours of Talktime, to note the phone even supports fast-charge. Connectivity features include Rel. 9, Cat. 4 FDD and TDD LTE. The chipset also advertises support for 3GPP Rel. 8, DC-HSPA+, TD-SCDMA and EDGE for legacy 2G and 3G networks.
So, the phone will go on sale starting from 9th August on Amazon.in, Flipkart.com, ShopClues.com and PayTM.com. The company is offering door pick-up and drop service as well. The speculated price is somewhere between Rs. 11,000/- to 12,000/-.
