ASUS has extended its family of ZenFones with the announcement of the latest ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) in India. The price label that comes attached reads Rs.17,999. The device is currently available with leading online retailers Amazon, Flipkart & Snapdeal and will be seen on shelves offline starting next week. Colors to choose from are grey, gold and red.
The Laser is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon S616 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. The smartphone has 3GB of RAM and has 32GB of internal storage capacity that can be stretched up to 128GB using a microSD card. It’s based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with the new Zen UI mounted on the top. The new UI includes features like ZenMotion, SnapView and Trend Micro Security. The device depends on a 3000 mAh for all the juice it needs.
The ZenFone sports a 6-inch full HD IPS retina display shielded by Corning’s Goriila Glass 4. The body has a metallic finish and is blessed with an ergonomic arc design. The camera fitted on the rear side is the 13MP Pixelmaster with f/2.0 aperture lens that captures light-speed shots with laser auto-focus and dual LED real tone flash.
