After successfully hovering with its flagship smartphones Mi Note and Mi Note Pro, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi, is up with its new offering, Mi 4 in India. Mi 4, Xiaomi’s fourth offering in India will be launched on January 28th.
Mi 4 was revealed in July last year but it never made its way to India. However, Mr. Hugo Barra, Head of International Operations for Xiaomi, confirmed that the smartphone will be launched in India on January 28th. Going on the same lines, Xiaomi India’s Operational head, Mr. Manu Jain also confirmed the launch date on 28th Jan soon after the launch of latest Mi Note Series.
If we take a look at the specifications, Xiaomi Mi 4 features a 5 inch IPS touch screen corning gorilla glass 3 display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels that constitutes 441 pixels per inch. The smartphone fits a 3 Gb RAM and runs on 2.5 Ghz quad-core snapdragon processor. For imaging, Mi 4 is equipped with a 13 megapixel camera with Sony’s IMX214 BSI sensor coupled with a LED flash. The smartphone offers one of the best front facing cameras in the market with a capacity of 8 megapixels integrated with Sony’s Exmor R sensor. The phone will run on preinstalled Android’s 4.4.3 Kitkat version of operating system with a layer of MIUI OS skin. For Storage, Mi 4 offers either 16 Gb or 64 Gb capacity models.
Looking for the connectivity options, Xiaomi Mi 4 is equipped with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth and GPS. And a battery of capacity 3080 mAh is fitted under its hood. The new smartphone weighs only 149 grams and measures 139.2 x 68.5 x 8.9 mm in size.
As of now, there is no official note on the price of the new offering, but talking about the availability, looking at the history of Xiaomi we can safely assume that it will be made available on Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart for selling.
