R Balki’s Shamitabh piqued audiences when it came out with an audio-trailer a couple weeks ago. It’s the first film in Indian Cinema to have come up with an audio teaser (i.e. teaser sans any visuals), accompanied only by its movie poster. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush, Akshara Haasan in the lead.
It appears from the trailer that Dhanush is a wannabe actor who wishes to make it big in the industry (him checking The Dark Knight DVD and enacting the Joker will make for one hell of a scene), but there’s no definite as to what Amitabh’s character might be. Rumor has it that Dhanush steals some important script from Amitabh to make his way into the industry, but one can only be sure of the story post the film’s release on 6th February.
