Wow! The trailer just started with a narrative in Sachin Tendulkar’s own voice, and just blew my socks off. Sachin: A Billion Dreams is a biographical drama based on the master blaster’s life directed by James Erskine and produced by Ravi Bhagchandka. A R Rahman has helmed the music for this film.

The film captures Sachin’s growth from his boyhood days to his becoming a cricketing legend, and then moves on to the values his father instilled in him as a child. The teaser kicks adrenaline soon after, where fans in their total excitement chant his name as he comes out to bat in the field. Cricket fans would cry at the sight of the coin placed on the stumps, something every Indian cricket fan knows about. There’s also an episode where Sachin’s relationship with his childhood coach Ramakant Achrekar will be showed. Sachin’s biggest fan Sudhir Gautam, who colored himself in our flag’s tricolor and has attended at every cricket match the maestro’s playing in, also features in the movie.
