Bad news and good news for Game of Thrones fans. First the bad – George RR Martin released a statement that he won’t be releasing Winds of Winter this year, the latest instalment of his magnum opus. But the good news is, we finally have our first trailer for Season 5 of Game of Thrones which was leaked yesterday and finally we have the official version in glorious HD.
From the first glimpse, it looks like we have some major action set pieces in store for us. The production value looks magnificently grand with some fantastic CGI and huge sets. Looks like HBO is going all out in bringing Westeros to life, in the best way possible. There seem to be some various dynamics in the works, most interesting is the one between Varys and Tyrion. The trailer promises a marriage(insert colour here), funerals, ample nudity, gore, many battle sequences and a whole lot of new characters. Be very excited.
