Superdry, the London based uber cool brand that fuses design influences from Japanese graphics and vintage Americana, with the values of British tailoring has launched ‘Live Series’ in India.

The Superdry Live Series is a platform for Electronic Dance Music artists to compete against each other and win the chance to open for an international DJ at the Superdry Brand Launch in Delhi. The series spans across six weeks, six cities and will feature six finalists who will compete for the coveted prize of opening for a big international act, launching the brand in Delhi and winning a year’s supply of Superdry merchandise.

The series kicks off on November 15, 2013 with a first gig in Gurgaon. Subsequently there will be one event held every week at each of the Superdry stores in the remaining five cities – Mumbai, Pune, Chandigarh, Chennai and Delhi.  Every event will feature one headlining artist who will also be the judge for the event; to support the headliner, there will be three competing artists. One of these artists from each city will advance to the finals in Delhi.

To participate, aspiring EDM artists can send in a sound clip of their work to Superdry will shortlist three artists for every event. Selected artists will get a chance to perform a 20 minute set at the Superdry Live Series Event in their respective cities along with a renowned EDM artist.

In a short space of time and with a cult celebrity following Superdry has become one of the fastest-growing fashion brands in India. With Superdry’s core philosophy of offering something for everyone; future classics with incredible detailing, original fabrics, vintage washes and unique fits all at accessible price points, the brand has become an Indian favorite.

All events are being held in association with BAJAAO and Budweiser.
