Indian mobile major Micromax has brought out the Funbook P255, another budget tablet. The device has been spotted on popular e-commerce websites Infibeam, Flipkart and Snapdeal. The price label, as seen on Flipkart, reads Rs. 4,799. It was available at Rs. 4,499 on Snapdeal, however the offer has now expired. The new P255 is slim and has a sleek design.

Micromax’s latest offering in the tablet category is driven by a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A8 Processor along with Mali 400 GPU. It packs 512MB RAM and offers 1.15GB of internal storage capacity expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.It runs on Android v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. It is powered by a 2,600 mAh Li-Polymer battery that can survive 4 hours of internet surfing and 150 hours of standby.

The Funbook P255 holds a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and pinch to zoom feature. It’s a dual camera device with a 2-megaixel primary camera on the rear side and a VGA secondary camera on the front that facilitates video chats. Connectivity features include 3G support through dongle, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Micro USB.
