Adding Spice to the dull life of Maruti’s people mover, Eeco, Maruti Suzuki India comes out with a limited edition update namin it as ‘Eeco Smiles Edition’. Having nothing to update mechanically, Maruti tries to lure its customers with a bunch of cosmetic updates at an extra cost of Rs. 9,490/-. The notable changes include Dual Tone seat covers, new DIN Music System with USB, new floor mats, mud flaps ,wheel covers, some ‘Smiles’ body decal n graphics both on the side and at the back and THAT IS ALL.
Originally Eeco consists of a 1.2 Litre Petrol engine producing 74 bhp of power and 101 Nm of torque at the peak. It also comes with a CNG Kit option offering some extra miles. The 5 seater variant of ‘Eeco Smiles’ costs abt Rs.3.05 Lacs while the 7 seater can be bought for Rs.3.22 Lacs.
While it is a limited edition, how many units the Smiles edition is limited to is not yet known.
