Chinese PC and smartphone giant Lenovo has extended its ‘A series’ with the A526. The smartphone, blue in colour, has been priced Rs.9499. It’s available with theDostore.com, the company’s official online store. Across India, Lenovo has authorized only selected retailers to sell the device.
Lenovo’s new budget offering sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA display. It has a 5MP camera fitted on the rear panel and a VGA camera on the front side. The smartphone relies on a 2000mAh battery for all the juice it requires. The battery offers up to 12.5 days of standby time on 3G and can survive up to 3 hours of talk time. List of connectivity options includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB and AGPS. It also supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality.
Lenovo A526 is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6582M processor. It packs 1GB of RAM and runs on Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. There’s 4GB of inbuilt storage space to squeeze in apps and data as memory can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.The smartphone’s stuffed with ‘Premium Apps’ like SHAREit that shares files wirelessly without being charged, SECUREit that protects the phone from harmful virus attacks and SYNCit that backs up and restores address book, text messages & call logs. The A526 also has offline GPS feature.
Earlier this year, the company urged that buyers do not purchase its products from certain online retailers. These retailers offered Lenovo products without any warranty entitlements said a banner on the company’s India website.
