Smartphone maker Karbonn has extended its ‘Smart’ series with the Karbonn Smart A51. The Karbonn device bears a price tag that reads Rs.3,499. It was spotted on popular e-commerce portal Saholic. The online store will start delivering the phone from September 27. The smartphone, with a candy bar shape, supports dual SIM. The specifications are decent given the price but then the market has options. The handset is fielded against phones like Micromax Bolt, LAVA Iris and Nokia Asha devices.
Karbonn’s latest offering is driven by a 1GHz processor coupled with 256MB of RAM. It has 512MB of inbuilt memory capacity (100MB user accessible) that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. The device runs on Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. It is powered by a 1,110 mAh battery.
The Smart A51 holds a 3.5-inch HVGA TFT LCD display with capacitive touch and has a resolution of 480×320 pixels. It comes equipped with two cameras. A 3.2-megapixel camera is fitted on the rear end with LED flash assistance while a VGA camera is on the front end. Connectivity options include GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth and microUSB v2.0. The handset comes packed with Gmail, GTalk, Google Search, Google Play, Android Browser, Karbonn Live, Outlook emails and WAP.
