Sony Pictures has released the trailer for Ron Howard’s latest Bob Langdon mystery, and it’s all kinds of good. Tom Hanks returns to the big screen as the famous Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, pursuing clues to the great Dante himself. As Langdon wakes up in Italy with amnesia, he teams up with his doctor Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones) who helps him recover his memories. United they dash against time and across Europe to thwart a deadly international plot – a cataclysmic virus that is all set to be release which can potentially cause bio-wars among nations. Can Langdon save humanity (yet again) from this catastrophe?
Apart from Hanks and Jones, Irrfan Khan (Life Of Pi) features in the movie as Harry Sims (aka The Provost). Other major performers include Omar Sy, Sidse Babett Knudsen and Ben Foster. Adapted from Dan Brown’s mega-bestselling novel, this is the third film in the Robert Langdon franchise that began in 2006 with The Da Vinci Code and later continued with Angels and Demons (2009).
With screenplay by David Koepp and produced by Imagine Entertainment, the film is slated for an October 28, 2016 release. Dan Brown, Bill Connor, and David Householter are executive producers for this film.
